How to Disable Automatic Updates for All Adobe Products?

Indeed all of us have one or more Adobe Products Installed on our system. These products ranges from Adobe Reader to Adobe Photoshop etc. Now the thing is that How to disable Automatic Update Feature of these products? As these often pop-up at the wrong time when you are not in a mood to update them.

The main annoying thing behind such update process is that The File Size is quite large and also it pop-up’s when you are doing an important work or downloading some stuffs from the World Wide Web. This consumes a lot of Bandwidth too. This post features how to disable them.

Strictly speaking Automatic Updates are the best way to remain updated. They provide you with Security Patches and Other crucial Program Updates. But if you want to turn them to Manual Update than here’s the best way to do so:

1. Open any Adobe Application and than on the Menu Click on Help and Select Check for Updates:

2. Now it will start checking for updates as follows:

3. Now a Dialog Box Appears in front of you as follows, click on Preferences in it:

4. Now Simply Uncheck Automatically Check for Adobe Updates. Also you can add or remove other Adobe Products from the Automatic Update List, simply by checking or unchecking under Choose Application to Update.

Unchecked Application will fall Under Manual Updates Category and Adobe will stop checking for the new updates for them automatically.

Voila It’s done, now whenever you feel so you can Manually check for updates and download them.
