If you are an AirTel Broadband User in India and are using one of their plan with speed 512 Kbps and above, than it’s essential that you know your plan’s FUP (Fair Usage Policy) Details.

What is FUP (Fair Usage Policy)?

FUP stands for Fair Usage Policy and almost all ISPs in India have got FUP Applicable (As per TRAI Guidelines) to their Unlimited Broadband Plans.

Suppose for a Monthly Unlimited Plan the FUP Limit set by an ISP is 50 GB, than as soon as you have crossed this 50 GB Limit, your Internet Connection Speed will be reduced to half or even less! Explore more about AirTel FUP

Now AirTel has added FUP Details for its Unlimited Broadband Plans in AirTel Broadband Experience Website. You have to Select your State and City in order to view various Broadband Plans and associated FUP Details. See an Example Screenshot below:

As you can see in the Screenshot above, the FUP Applicable on Turbo 1299 Plan is 100 GB (During Day Time). This means if you cross 100 GB Limit during Day Time, than your Speed will reduce to 256 Kbps from 512 Kbps!
