Windows 8 is the code name of next operating system of Microsoft Windows. The operating system has support for ARM microprocessors along with traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Windows 8 user interface (UI) has been changed to make it better suitable for touchscreen devices/input in addition to the traditional mouse and keyboard input.

Currently, Windows 8 Developer Preview is available for download for everyone, although this release is for developers, but you can definitely give this new operating system a try (Make sure you read the Important Note at the end of this post)! System Requirements:

Following are the system requirements in order to install and run Windows 8 Developer Preview successfully on your PC:

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

* In order to Take advantage of touch input feature present in Windows 8 Developer Preview, you need a screen that supports multi-touch input

Also, for gaining access to more set of control and APIs, that enable applications to integrate Single Sign On (SSO) with Microsoft connected accounts and enable users to access information from SkyDrive, Hotmail, and Messenger, you need to create a Live Connect Account or head over to MSDN Subscriber Page

You need to use softwares like Nero, Ashampoo or Windows Disk Image Burner for burning any of the above ISO Files of Windows 8 Developer Preview. The ISO file that contains developer tools requires a Dual Layer DVD, as well as a DVD burner that can handle dual-layer DVDs. Most modern burners should be able to handle Dual Layer DVDs.

How to Edit/Modify/Save Hosts File in Windows 7?

Windows Hosts File contains a Sequential List of IP Addresses assigned to a particular Website. If you want to Speed Up your Browsing, Block Malware OR other Undesirable Websites, than you have to edit Windows Hosts File.

If you are using Windows 7 Operating System, than Editing/Modifying/Saving Windows Hosts File is not possible in most of the cases! In this post we will see How we can easily Edit/Modify/Save Hosts File in Windows 7 Operating System?

Before going into the Steps, Remember, Edit the Windows Hosts File only when you are completely sure What you are doing! Editing Hosts file Unnecessarily may result in problems in Web Browsing.

Here are the Steps for Editing/Modifying/Saving Windows 7 Hosts File

1. Windows 7 Hosts File is located in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc (Assuming C Drive is your Operating System Drive). Copy this location:

2. Click on Start Button >> All Programs >> Accessories and look for Notepad.

3. Now Right Click on Notepad and Select Run as Administrator:

4. Click Open… (CTRL + O) in Notepad and Paste the Hosts File Address in it >> Press Enter and Select All Files from the Drop Down Menu:

5. Now Open the Hosts File and Edit it as per your Requirement. Save it and it’s all done!

Notepad in Administrator Mode can Save the changes you made in Windows Hosts File. You may not be able to Save Windows Hosts File, if you run Notepad in default mode.

This Post tells you How you can download Bing Wallpapers onto your Hard Drive using Firefox?

Apart from using Bing Downloader, you can also make use of Firefox for downloading Bing Background Images. There are 2 very easy ways to do so:

First

Open Bing Home Page
Now Right Click anywhere on the Image and Select View Background Image:

Save the Image onto your Computer Hard Drive

Second

Open Bing Home Page
Go to Tools >> Page Info in Firefox Toolbar

Select Media Tab and Look for the Homepage Image Using Mouse Clicks or Up & Down Arrows:

As soon as you find the Homepage Image, click Save As
