Rapidshare is one of the Widely Used File Sharing Website around the World.

If you have got a Rapidshare Account, than it’s better to Activate the Security Lock Now. This post tells you why Security Lock is essential for every Rapidshare Account!
- Prevent Unauthorized Rapid Points Conversion
- Prevent Unauthorized deletion of files you Uploaded
- Prevent Changes in Account E-mail Address and Passwords
If Security Lock is active, than even if you are sharing your Password with someone, he/she can’t make any changes in the account without your consent. Only he/she can upload files to your account. Once uploading of files has been done, he/she can never delete those files.
How to Activate Rapidshare Security Lock?
- Login to your desired Collector’s Account or Premium Account.
- If you haven’t activated security lock than you will find an Unsecure Lock Icon as shown below:

- Important: Before activating Security Lock, make sure the E-mail Address in the Settings Tab is completely accessible by you.
- Now Click Activate Security Lock, you will see a following Dialog Box, Click Activate Security Lock Again:

- Now as soon as the Account is secured you will see following Secured Lock Icon (In Green), also Unlock code will be sent automatically to the E-mail Address you provided in the Settings Tab:

What to Do if you have Lost your Rapidshare Security Lock Release Code from E-mail?
- Just Click on Deactivate Security Lock, you will get following Dialog Box:

- Now Click Request Release Code and the code will be sent to the E-mail Address already mentioned in the Settings Tab. Insert Release Code in the Enter Release Code above and Click Deactivate Security Lock
