HostGator
First and foremost thing I like to mention is that, this process of converting small images to large images is known as Rasterization. You can read more about Raster Images right here.

Rasterbator is a nifty online tool with which you can enlarge small images/photos. Let’s see how to use this Online Utility:

1. As soon as you land on the Page of Rasterbator, click Rasterbate Online:

2. After clicking, the Online Flash Interface will ask you to upload the PIC you want to Rasterize from your Computer. Here we will make use of following Image to enlarge it:

Upload the Image and Click Next. You can even get free images from any particular image sharing website.

3. The Immediate next step will ask you to Crop and Size the Uploaded Image. This is very Important Step, as it will determine the overall size of Enlarged Poster Image. Resize and Crop Intelligently from all available options.

As soon as you are done, click Next

4. The next Step will ask you for selecting desired colors for your Image. Since we are enlarging here a small image, the enlarged Image will consist of DOTS in each paper sheet. You have to also define the DOT Size, as Dot size defines the maximum size of the dots of the rasterbation. Select small dot size for small output images and large dot size for huge output images.

For Color Option for DOTS, you can choose from Complete Black Color, Custom Color or Multi Color. I recommend you to go for Multi Color.

5. As soon as you are finished with selecting color for DOTS, click Rasterbate. The Rasterization process will carry on and as soon as it is over, you will be able to download whole set of Rasterized Image in PDF File.

Check out the Rasterized Version of above image we used right here (You have to download the file; hosted on Rapidshare)

6. Now Print this whole set of Rasterized Image. Make sure that when printing the image with Adobe Reader, choose Page scaling: Fit to Printer Margins at the options window that comes up (Fit to Paper in older versions).

If you chose horizontal paper alignment, also make sure Auto-Rotate and Center is selected. Most printers cannot print to the margins of the paper – these settings ensure that all the images will be completely printed.

It’s all done! Enjoy Small Images being converted to Large Images! You can also view a Gallery of Rasterized Images around the world right here and can also submit your own Rasterized Images right here

For better control you can even download this Rasterization tool on your Computer. This tool is absolutely free and can be downloaded from here

Enjoy!

    Hi,

Good one, but cant we save it as an image on our computer??????

  3. mrintech on May 30, 2009 at 6:48 pm

Rasterization requires lots of images to be saved on your computer, this will take time and consume bandwidth. The best option is to get all the Images in a Single PDF File :)
