ImageShack.us is one of the widely used service for uploading and sharing images on Internet. Recently I was browsing a Tech Forum with Firefox and was getting following Frog Icon Image for all Images linked to that forum:

The above icons says: This Page/Domain banned b/c porn, warez, or topsite. If you own this site and feel ban is in error, visit imageshack.us, go to “Contact ImageShack” an refer to the contents of the URL Bar. DO NOT PROVIDE LINKS TO IMAGES, CLEAR YOUR INTERNET CACHE AND REFRESH THIS PAGE BEFORE EMAILING!
I completely agree that this message is for those images/websites which contains nudity or NSFW (Not Safe for Work) Content. But in cases, this frog icon appears for legitimate Images/Websites too.
A simple Firefox tweak will disable this Frog Icon for legitimate Images/Websites and you can freely browse the Images!
- Open Firefox and type about:config in the URL Bar
- Search for network.http.sendRefererHeader in the Filter Bar
- Double click on the network.http.sendRefererHeader and change the value to 0 (zero). The default value will be set to 2.
- It’s all done. Refresh the Page where you were getting that Frog Icon Image or clear the Browser Cache, and you will be able to see the image!
You can read more about network.http.sendRefererHeader here
Note: This tweak will work only if the legimate Image is already hosted on Imageshack. If ImageShack/Uploader has deleted the Image, this will not work at all!
