Translate into various Languages using Google Talk

Someday back I wrote about a very accurate Translation Service, which may even surpass Google Translator and Yahoo! Babel Fish.

google-chat-with-google-bot

But now here’s a new way of translating into various languages using Google Talk. In this method you will actually talk with Google Chat Bot.

The immediate image above shows the chat between Me and Google Chat Bot. Here the Google Bot I am chatting with, has got the User Name as: en2hi – Chat bot for translating from English to Hindi.

Now for carrying out successful translation into other languages, you have to select different Google Bots. Following is the list of all the Google Chat Bots:

en2ja, en2ko, en2nl, en2ru, es2en, fi2en, fr2de, fr2en, hi2en, hr2en, it2en, ja2en, ko2en, nl2en, ru2en, uk2en, ur2en, zh2en, ar2en, bg2en, de2en, de2fr, el2en, en2ar, en2de, en2el, en2es, en2fr, en2it

In order to chat with these bots you have to Add them in your friend list, as shown below:

Remember after each and every bot name, you have to add @bot.talk.google.com (Refer Image above)

Now whatever you type, you will get the translated version of your sentence by the Translation Chat Bot selected.

If you are currently reading this article using Firefox, than you can test this right now using this LINK, without actually launching Google Talk!

Enjoy Translation and Chat with Google Bot! [via]

    WOW!!
    Claps for you man!
This is one awesome trick :)
No more going to google translation page again :)

  2. I’ve been thinking about getting Google Talk. This post has definitely convinced me, thanks =)

  3. As every translation feature i’ve tested, it’s not good enough to rely on if you need a good translation (ie: for work). It might be handy for chatting though :)

en2fr is pretty good, but there are a few big mistakes (ie : confusing “right” as in “right now” and “you have the right to…”).

Anyways, thanks fo letting us know about this cool feature :)
